La Perla Boudoir Collection pieces battle breast cancer
Famous Italian lingerie/swimwear brand La Perla has joined the line of fashion houses to battle breast cancer and go charitable for the good cause.
La Perla has created special edition lingerie accessories to mark the opening of FTM’s Undercover:
The Evolution of Underwear Exhibition that’s held June 12 – September 27, 2009 in Fashion and Textile Museum, London. The exhibition traces the evolution of underwear, from health garment, shape definer to fashion ‘must have’ and explores boudoir to everyday glamour, as well as the role and impact of modern research and innovation on the way we wear lingerie.
For the exhibition La Perla has created a limited edition super erotic and frivolously sexy boudoir macrame mask and a delicate leavers lace corset-style cuff that are currently available at FTM’s shop priced at ?29 and £25 with all proceeds going to the charity Breast Cancer Care.
The pieces are from La Perla the Black Label line.
La Perla was founded by Ada Masotti in 1954 in Bologna and was initially formed as a little corsetry factory. Due to the know-how of the female body, the fusion of innovation and tradition, and a great desire to make every woman look sexy, the factory has been transformed in what we know now as one of the world’s most popular lingerie brands.
