Sasha Pivovarova– famous high fashion model with Russian roots, who has a successful career not only as a supermodel but also as a painter and even tried acting in “In Time” with Justin Timberlake. But Sasha doesn’t limit herself with these duties and is planning designing a line for Gap.

Sasha Pivovarova will design lingerie and sleepwear collection such as underwear sets, camisoles, nightdresses and boyshorts. The entire collection will be inspired by fairy tales. Knowing about Sasha’s degree in painting (she even had her works exhibited in New York and Paris galleries), her collection is probably going to have hand-painted patterns. The collection is going to be both cute and have an affordable price starting at 26$. The launch is planned on the beginning of December.

Pivovarova told Vogue UK:

“Creative process gives me the most freedom because I can do anything I want on a piece of blank media.”

Sasha Pivovarova was born in Moscow, Russia in 1986. She started modeling at relatively late age for this kind of business but immediately became popular thanks to her untypical memorable appearance, in modeling circles she is even called “delicate elf”.

She started modeling in 2005 after being introduced to IMG in New York and just in two weeks she debuted on the runway opening the fall Prada show in Milan. She immediately became the face of Prada and signed a –year contract with them. Besides Prada, she was modeling for Ann Demeulemeester, Chanel, Chloe, Emmanuel Ungaro, Kenzo, Louis Vuitton, Nina Ricci, Yohji Yamamoto, YSL.
