American Apparel goes natural
American Apparel goes natural in their newest ads ‘creeping out the public’. The thing that is that the ads are being described as highly suggestive and models display unphotohopped armpits with traces of hair. If that is creepy then there’s something wrong with the world. But topless and bottomless models aren’t appropriate for display in the public ads.
American Apparel has done many highly suggestive ads one of which was not displayed as it would ‘widely offend’ the public. Now that it faces bankruptcy maybe it’s time to change advertising style? Just for the fun of it. Seriously, what’s the point of making ads that will be banned? While nature and minimum airbrushing is not bad overtly sexual ads aren’t for the public. There are many other things beside sex. Though I must admit that I like model descriptions that usually go with the ads, it humanizes them. What do you think, readers?
