Jessica Simpson launches lingerie collection
The 29 year old singer who already has extremely successful lines of luggage, swimwear, footwear, fragrance and dresses, invades a new market niche, this time presenting her lingerie collection.
The line is set to hit New York City showrooms this week.
Jessica describes her collection of panties and bras as “feminine, sweet and sexy” and confesses that she’s currently working on a line of sleepwear.
I love lingerie. What girl doesn’t?” Jessica Simpson said in her interview for WWD.com. “My lingerie reflects the way I’m feeling when I wake up and helps me set the tone for my day.”
The collection that was created with Vandale Industries also includes regular and full-figured bras for daily wear.
Jessica said:
Lingerie is a special part of what you wear every day. What you wear underneath your clothes helps define the outfit, whether T-shirt bras, push-up bras, different patterns and colors – you always have to choose what works best.
It is important to me personally … to be able to wear my own line. Vandale is developing a great collection of feminine, sexy, regular and full-figured bras which are going to be amazing. We are also working on a sleepwear collection that I know I will live in.
We have focused on using really soft fabrics that feel good against your skin. The whole line centers around great basics for every day that are comfortable and fit your body. We spent a lot of time on the details. I really wanted to make this line special.”
The singer-turned-actress-turned-designer said she wanted to create an underwear collection “with a hint of fun.”
It’s fun to pick different colors and styles,” she revealed adding her favorite part of the collection was the seersucker group “because it is just classic and so adorable.” “We also have a beautiful print group that was inspired by Morocco. It is both exotic and feminine at the same time. We also created a denim and floral set that is flirty and fun,” she concluded.
Newly single Ms. Simpson told the press she loves to feel comfy and good in what she wears, and she always wears what her mood calls for.
Judging by the description, her lingerie range will present quite a lot for you to choose from to always have something for your every mood.
