Luminoglow Lingerie is a new exporting product from Australia that is luminous laced lingerie.
The brand that hails itself as “Seductive.Tantalizing. Cheeky. Playful. Irresistible” sells unique lingerie pieces created by designer Jan Hawley in team with her husband and two grown up sons.
In this range the underwear is much smaller and sexier. We’ve called it the Boudoir collection because it’s strictly for the bedroom after dark,” she explained. “How long does the lace glow for? Well, probably long enough! I took [my sons'] ideas on board and now we seem to have very tiny knickers and bras that show a lot of cleavage. But at the heart of the collection, it’s still a bit of a giggle.”
The main trick of these bras, panties and babydolls is that they look like a normal set by day, but if they are held against a light for two minutes, they glow green in the dark.
Luminoglow Lingerie has turned into a nationwide business selling in the US and Europe apart from the native Australian market.
The success we’ve had has been remarkable. I started out with my husband James two years ago in a remote part of Australia and now it’s a multinational business that shows no sign of stopping,” Jan added. “I have to laugh discussing knickers and bras with my sons and asking them what they like and think looks good. It’s hilarious. But hopefully the fun we are having making it all is still coming through in the designs.”
