In confutation Australian designer Tracey Montford designed brand Cake Lingerie – amazing and sexy maternity underwear.
Cake Lingerie specialise in the creation of unique, high fashion maternity and nursing lingerie. This ultimate mix of sheer luxury and role through current image, HQ quality materials and , exceptional art.
We wanted to associate our brand with divine and gorgeous and delectable and yummy,” said Tracey, who has given new meaning to the cliché, “yummy mummy”.
The main theme of all collections by Cake lingerie is inspired by vintage old-school glam.The lines cosist of bras, panties and nightwear, which are made from a mix of silk, fine laces and soft microfibre with soft cotton lining underneath for the ultimate in comfort.
When I was pregnant I noticed I couldn’t wear any of my cute tops because the big ugly bra was right out there,” Tracey said.
I was used to wearing pretty lingerie but all I could find in maternity lingerie was beige and basic,” she said.
The quality of our garments is superior to anything else that is out there in maternity wear.
We’re very focused on improving the product whenever we can.”
Cake’s latest collection is called after desserts and includes Black Forest, Choc Chip and Raspberry Ripple. Prices range from about $11 to $280.
Tracey Montford is thinking at releasing a new collection every six to nine months.
