It’s no secret that a famous and easily recognizable face is the key to a successful ad campaign. Big budget lingerie brands are eager to hire most beautiful Hollywood actors and actresses to cover their advertisement campaigns and speak on behalf of the brand. And believe me, it’s money’s worth.

Every year Victoria’s Secret make a fabulous super-expensive bra for the Autumn Lingeire show. Last year Gisele Bundchen was honored to wear a perfect lingerie invention but this year it’s Marisa Miller who’s been chosen for the mission.

Constant wearing of an ill-fitting bra can cause something more than just discomfort and back and shoulder pains. If you always feel some discomfort and tightness from your bra, or notice little red marks on your skin after taking a bra off, there’s a certain problem and the least you can do to make things right is to buy a well-fitting bra and try to wear a bra as less as possible, especially do not wear a bra to bed.

Australian women dream of minimizer bras

According to the research, more and more Australian women, up to 40% to be exact, now buy bras with a cup size of DD or higher.

Different suppliers name different bestseller bras but some say to meet the customers’ demands they even have to introduce J and K cups.

Triumph managing director David Gow said 55% of the women’s underwear manufacturers’ sales were of cups D and larger – a 10% increase from five years ago.

Experts blame the cleavage boost on obesity, contraceptive pills and artificial hormones (artificial oestrogens).

They also say, the bigger the bust the less time women spend on sports and exercising, this, in its turn, boosts bust growth and obesity.

Victoria Jubb, fitting specialist of Bra company Eveden Australia, said obesity contributed significantly to the expanding chest sizes but the number of small-figured women with large breasts is also growing. Eveden’s top-selling size is a 10G.

The big bust tendency contributes to the growth of breast reduction surgery in Australia. The number of women turning to this procedure has doubled in the past decade, doctors say.

A way to avoid surgery is to use the minimizer bra that’s been introduced by Triumph.

“When I launched my first lingerie collection 10 years ago, 10-14B used to be our bestsellers by a mile,” said Bruno Schiavi, co-creator of the new bra. “Now, our bestsellers are 12-16C, and 16D and 16DD.”

Very pretty. The lingerie and the girl too,
but why does the model qualify as a plus size?
Because she is busty does not make her a
plus size. Or maybe it does. She is not
a queen size, at any rate, yet only a few
queen size lingerie pieces have I seen on
my continuous rambling through the online
stores. Specifically, she does not have
the caboose for a plus size model, unless
the designer is using heighth as a plus.
