Underwear as Outerwear and Sexy Costumes Celebrity-style
I can’t get past three magazine issues that feature three different celebrities – Kim Kardashian (Glamour, February 2011), Avril Lavigne (Vanity Fair Italia, February 2011) and Katy Perry (Elle, March 2011). Underwear as outerwear trend seems to have stuck with fashion for a long-long time. Sexy costumes as part of music artists’ wardrobe are also here to stay. So take a look at these magazine issues featuring underwear as outerwear and sexy costumes celebrity-style.
Kim Kardashian is adorning the cover of Glamour (February 2011) wearing pajamas by Tom Ford and a black bra by La Perla. The peek-a-boo effect contrasts with the cream white pajamas detailed with black lines and show off La Perla‘s amazing bra design. Another pic is showing Kim in Dolce & Gabbana bustier and skirt, simply beautiful.
The third look features the same La Perla bra peeking through black Gucci jumpsuit.
Avril Lavigne was given a great makeover for her Vanity Fair Italia (February 2011) photo shoot. Looking like a bombshell in black hot lingerie which contrasted with her blond locks Avril looked absolutely stunning. Three fab looks include brassiere and culotte set by Dolce & Gabbana under unbuttoned cardigan from Stefanel.
In this look Avril slipped into lingerie dress by Agent Provocateur and lace vintage cape from Glynneth B.
Balcony bra and pencil skirt from Kiki de Montparnasse and a linen shirt by Guess Jeans.
Katy Perry is all about sexy stage costumes. And this Elle photo shoot has showed it perfectly. Leotard-inspired costumes and bodysuits are completed with accessories such as belts, tights, stockings and shoes.
In this look, Pam Hogg Lycra romper with wing chiffon sleeves, mesh headband with huge flower as belt, and gold-plated brass cuffs by Robert Lee Morris.
Rushed neck bodysuit with wide belt and glittery tights.
Max Mara bodysuit, Oscar de la Renta perforated leather belt, sheer tights from Leg Avenue and suede and leather sandals with feather detailing by Dior.
