Triumph Inspiration Award 2010 global final
And the winner is…! Yeah, wait a minute. First off let us remind those of you who might not remember that Triumph Inspiration Award is an award given to young talented designers. The competition allows any graduates from fashion design majors from any part of the world participate and strive for the final prize. In 2010 the final prize was EUR15,000 and the exclusive opportunity to work with Triumph‘s design team in Hong Kong. The winner’s piece is going to be made commercial for the limited edition sold in Triumph stores from Summer 2011.
The event took place in London and was hosted by an actor and dancer Adam Garcia. The judges were the stars of the fashion industry – Supermodel, Helena Christensen; Photographer, Rankin; British Fashion Designer, Matthew Williamson; Actress and Singer Karen Mok; Chair of British Fashion Council Development Committee, Hilary Riva and Head of Global Brand Management Triumph, Suzanne McKenna. The theme of Triumph Inspiration Award 2010 was “Shape Sensation” which designers were encouraged to explore in their one-piece lingerie creations.
Now it’s time to announce the winner, which is Bulgarian designer Nikolay Bozhilov with the design called “Morphology” (pic above). The competition was strong as 26 countries fought for the final prize. The 2nd place was given to Amaya Carcamo (Spain) with “Wood Sensation” and EUR10,000. And the 3rd place was awarded Ludovico Loffreda (Italy) with “Memory of Shape” and EUR 5,000.
