The Queen of the Galaxy Fall/ Winter 2012 Collection
Thought the epoch of the 60’s-inspired lingerie is left in the past? Marika Vera has the opposite opinion: the designer embedded the 60s and 70s style into the modern lingerie pieces while creating the Queen of the Galaxy futuristic lingerie collection.
The designer experiments with untypical for lingerie textures like velvet and features the bright color shades with psychedelic feel that were inspired by the European heroines of Fantaerotic comic books. Designer pairs the stretch satin and tulle fabrics in the bold color gamma and place the cutouts the way, which makes the lingerie items similar to superheroes’ costumes.
All the lingerie pieces are hand-made from the high quality materials. The designer opted for the minimalistic lines and fine fabrics, what makes the collection appear elegant and chic. Marika Vera intended the collection for “the elegant and modern woman of today, who has a natural approach to sensuality.”
Every single piece in this fall/winter 2012 collection is intended to show the women’s femininity in its best. This collection incorporates the two incompatible characteristics- femininity and power, what makes it stand out and adds the superhuman touch to a woman.
