Shell Belle Couture Spring/Summer 2012 Collection
Shell Belle Couture is offering some airy lingerie for the season of Spring/Summer 2012. The collection for the next warm season looks very feminine and sexy with all that wispy lace, flowing silk and sheer details. The styles in the collection are unlike in many other collections including lace-paneled shorts and crop tops trimmed with lace. This is only the second collection by Shell Belle Couture, their first collection was called Voyage and was presented last year.
Shell Belle Couture Spring/Summer 2012 collection is made from beautiful flowing silk, lace and chiffon. The subtle prints and delicate wispy lace are alluring combination. Michelle Blenkinsopp, the founder of the UK-based brand describes Shell Belle Couture as a ‘Passion for Vintage Lingerie and the Desire for an Endless Summer’. The brand also has a swimwear line.
The Spring/Summer 2012 collection is made of neutral tones including whites and cream and only pops of black lace that acts only as details here and there. The mix of sheer and opaque is giving some pieces a nice contrast of modest and sexy. For instance, a silk slip has an opaque body and sheer lacy cups.
Flowing fabrics play an important role in making things flirty and the lace details that give a peek of skin through the semi sheer texture is what makes lingerie so sexy. Shell Belle Couture makes elegant vintage lingerie but it is also quite seductive and alluring. Our most favorite pieces are a dotted sheer teddy and a silk robe with a side bow.
